Pierzynski jacked one out of the ballyard at the ballpark as the Lewisville Fire Ants beat the California Gangsta Luv 4 to 3. Lewisville came up with 2 runs in the 2nd inning with the help of 4 hits. They would prove to be the difference in the contest. California threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. Mark Buehrle(9-9) allowed 3 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. Buehrle got relief help from Chad Cordero who gained credit for his 13th save. Josh Fogg(6-8) was charged with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 10 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. When questioned about the loss, Alan Dyche said, 'The fans got to see an exciting game out there this afternoon. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done this time. Next time, though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the smiles.'
